What is Scotland In Focus?

Scotland In Focus is YOUR chance to improve YOUR local area.

Is there somewhere where you live, hang out or play sports that needs improving? Whether it’s a local park, a school playground or a building you love, if it has been spoilt by things like litter or vandalism, it can be really annoying.

But now Young Scot has come up with a new project to help you put things right. We’ve got a fund of money available that we want YOU to spend improving the places that are important to you. All you need to do is take a few photos of the area and tell us why you want to improve it and how you would go about it. Be ambitious, think big and get your thinking caps on! So whether you are looking for £100 or £2,000, get in touch and and tell us your ideas!

Shotts YMCA Football Ground in North Lanarkshire became the first successful applicant after 18 year old, Alasdair Robertson, applied for funding. Alasdair recieved £1516 to landscape the football ground and pay for essential repair work.
