Why this place is important to me

This centre is a focal point for the people of this area and has been a long standing resource used by generations. 7 different groups use this facility ranging in ages from babies and toddlers to pensioners, and it is used every weekday from morning to night.
There is a large storage cupboard used to house all equipment for all groups and tables and chairs are kept in the hall. These take up space which could be used for the many groups. We also have notice boards, one for each group to display coming events and news, which have been donated over the years and are becoming a bit shabby.

My plan to improve this place

We would like funding to pay for built in storage seating enabling us to move the tables and chairs to the large cupboard and freeing up space. We would also like some new notice boards to give a more neat and streamlined effect. To brighten the centre up we would also like to paint the walls and ceiling. This would make the centre a more pleasant and inviting place.
